How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Most finance courses throw theory at you and hope it sticks. We start with real company data and work backwards. You'll build models that mirror what investment banks and corporate finance teams use every single day.

  • Start with actual company financials, not made-up examples
  • Build three-statement models from scratch in every session
  • Learn keyboard shortcuts that save hours of work
  • Practice with scenarios that test your logic, not just formulas
  • Get feedback on models before bad habits form

What Students Actually Accomplish

These numbers come from our 2024 program graduates. We track outcomes because we want to know if our approach actually works.

23min Time saved per model after training
94% Would recommend to colleagues

Step-by-Step Learning Process

Every session follows the same practical structure. You'll know exactly what to expect and how to prepare for each stage of your learning.

1

Review Real Financial Statements

We start each session by examining actual company reports. You'll learn to spot the data you need and ignore the marketing fluff that doesn't belong in models.

2

Build Core Model Structure

Create the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow connections. We focus on logic first, then formatting. Most people do this backwards.

3

Test Different Scenarios

Change assumptions and watch how your model responds. This is where you catch errors before anyone else sees your work. And where models become actually useful.

4

Present Your Findings

Practice explaining what your model shows in plain English. Numbers without context don't help anyone make better decisions.

What You'll Master in 8 Months

Our program runs from July 2025 through February 2026. You'll work on progressively complex models, starting with simple ratio analysis and ending with full merger models. Each month builds on the previous work.

DCF Valuation Models

Build discounted cash flow models that investment analysts actually use. Learn the assumptions that matter most.

Merger & Acquisition Models

Model accretion/dilution scenarios and understand how deals get structured in practice.

Scenario Analysis

Create sensitivity tables and scenario frameworks that help executives make better decisions under uncertainty.

Industry-Specific Adjustments

Understand how REIT models differ from SaaS models. One size never fits all in financial modeling.

Marcus Chen, program graduate and senior financial analyst

Before this program, I was spending entire days building models that still had errors. Now I can build a three-statement model in two hours and actually trust the output. The difference is knowing which shortcuts matter and which ones create problems down the line.
